Public Health Madison and Dane County Lifting all COVID related Restrictions as of June 2nd
As many of you know, tomorrow (June 2nd), PHMDC will be lifting all local COVID related restrictions. After this date, business, organizations and entities will be responsible for any/all covid restrictions that they feel they will need to enforce.
As we have talked several times over the last weeks, the first thing we should consider as it relates to this change is love and understanding. We have all had different experiences throughout the last year. As I said in my last email, this will have a massive impact on how we will feel coming out of this. So, first and foremost, we need to have love and understanding. You will see friends, family and coworkers deal with this very differently. Give everyone the space and understanding we will need as we slowly return to our old world.
Rules and Restrictions as it Relates to MKG Madison.
As I have talked to many of you over the last few weeks, we have discussed a bit on how we should handle our “emergence” from the pandemic. So although the restrictions will be lifted tomorrow, we will continue to respond as we have throughout the pandemic, slowly and carefully. So here are our plans for the coming weeks.

Nothing will change. We will maintain all current policies and procedures
- Mask Required while inside.
- Temperature checks before training.
- COVID release forms required
Beginning June 7th
- Masks will be encouraged, but not required
- If you are fully vaccinated the CDC recommendations say that you do not need to wear a mask and are safe in almost all situations .

- If you are not yet vaccinated or feel more comfortable with wearing a mask you are encouraged to do so.
- Temperature checks will no longer be required
- If you are feeling ill, as always, stay home until you feel better.
Staff will continue to wear masks for as long as it is appropriate.
